Rural South Lanarkshire along with Scottish Borders and West Wigtownshire was one of the original areas where we piloted the Mums Supporting Mums programme.
We worked in partnership with Healthy Valleys the community led health initiative for rural South Lanarkshire.
Their Grassroots project is a free service for pregnant women and families with children under 5 years old who are facing particular challenges and live in rural South Lanarkshire.

Recently the Grassroots Project met with volunteers, beneficiaries, partners and funders to demonstrate the impact the Project has on supporting pregnant women and families with children under 5 years old who live in rural South Lanarkshire and who need extra help. The purpose of the day was to share the completed longitudinal study which has been carried by 2 researchers from the University of the West of Scotland.
